Peace of Mind with Your Bayside Pool Warranty
This page explains the warranty coverage for your Bayside Pools fiberglass pool shell. We offer two warranties:
- 20-Year Structural Warranty: This covers leaks caused by defects in the pool shell itself, due to faulty materials or workmanship during manufacturing.
- 15-Year Finish Warranty: This covers problems with the gel coat, such as osmotic blistering.
Who is Covered?
- The original buyer of the pool shell from an authorized Bayside Pools dealer.
- The subsequent homeowner, if the property is sold and Bayside Pools is notified within one month.
What is Not Covered?
- Damage caused by improper installation, handling, storage, or transport of the pool shell.
- Color variations or minor cosmetic blemishes in the finish.
- Discoloration, staining, fading, hairline cracks, surface roughness, or yellowing of the finish.
- Calcium scale, mineral deposits, or decking/landscaping issues.
- Damage caused by pool equipment, misuse, negligence, accidents, or acts of God.
Important Warranty Conditions:
- Maintain the pool water level above the skimmer outlet at all times.
- Only authorized personnel should drain the pool.
- Bayside Pools must receive full payment for the pool shell.
- Use only approved materials for the pool base and backfill.
- Install a hydrostatic valve in the pool base.
- Notify Bayside Pools within 7 days of discovering a defect.
- Only authorized Bayside Pools representatives can repair the pool shell.
- Maintain the pool according to accepted standards.
What Happens in Case of a Warranty Claim?
Bayside Pools will determine the cause of the issue and whether it’s covered under warranty.
If Bayside Pools is at fault:
- They will repair or replace the pool shell (at their discretion).
- They will cover reasonable costs to drain, refill, and chemically treat the pool (if a replacement is needed).
- They will not be responsible for damage to surrounding landscaping or property (except in cases of gross negligence).
Replacement Pool:
- Bayside Pools covers the cost of delivering the replacement pool.
- They are not responsible for removing the old pool or replacing other items.
Additional Notes:
- You are responsible for providing access to the pool for repairs during business hours.
- The warranty covers repairs only. Bayside Pools is not liable for inconvenience or loss of pool use.
